해변의 파란 돌

폴리는 해안을 따라 날아갑니다. 한쪽에는 초록 산들이 있습니다. 다른 쪽에는 바다가 있습니다. 그 사이의 길은 아주 좁습니다. 여기는 도미니카 공화국의 남서쪽입니다. 방문객이 많지 않습니다.

Polly flies along the coast. On one side there are green mountains. On the other side there is the sea. The road between them is very narrow. This is the southwest of the Dominican Republic. Not many visitors come here.

폴리는 그 길을 따라 남쪽으로 갑니다. 작은 강들이 산에서 내려와 바다로 흐릅니다. 강물은 차갑습니다. 바닷물은 따뜻합니다.

Polly follows the road south. Small rivers come down from the mountains and run into the sea. The river water is cold. The sea water is warm.

이곳 해변에는 모래가 없습니다. 작고 둥근 돌들로 되어 있습니다. 돌들은 회색이고 흰색이고 갈색입니다. 파도가 돌을 움직이고 큰 소리가 납니다.

The beach here has no sand. It is made of small round stones. They are grey and white and brown. The waves move the stones and they make a loud noise.

폴리는 돌 위를 걷습니다. 그러다가 멈춥니다. 돌 하나가 파란색입니다. 안쪽도 파란색입니다. 마치 물이 딱딱해진 것 같습니다.

Polly walks on the stones. Then she stops. One stone is blue. It is blue inside too. It looks like water that has gone hard.
