In Barahona there are small workshops. A saw cuts the rough stone open. Inside it is blue, with white lines in it. It looks like the sea from an airplane.

Bu taşın adı pektolit. Gri pektolit birçok ülkede var. Ama mavi pektolit sadece burada. İnsanlar başka yerlerde aradı. Hiç bulamadılar.

The stone is called pectolite. Grey pectolite is in many countries. But blue pectolite is only here. People looked everywhere else for it. They never found it.

The stone is very old. Hot water went into holes in the rock and filled them. So this stone is water that became hard.
