مدينة الحجر الذهبي

طارت بولي إلى المدينة القديمة. شوارع ضيقة تلتف بين بيوت بيضاء منخفضة.

Polly flew down into the old town. Narrow streets wound between low white houses.

في الوسط كانت توجد كنيسة كبيرة. بدت مثل قلعة، بجدران عالية، وبرج طويل، وأسوار على القمة.

In the middle stood a great church. It looked like a castle, with high walls, a tall tower, and battlements along the top.

بُنيت هي أيضًا من الحجر الذهبي. نفس الحجر من الكهف قرب البحر بنى الكنيسة والطواحين. الآن فهمت بولي.

It was built from golden stone too. The same stone from the cave by the sea built the church and the windmills. Now Polly understood.

عند الميناء، كان صياد يصلح شباكه بجانب القوارب. صيد الصباح لمع في الشمس. قالت بولي مرحبًا وطارت بعيدًا.

Down at the port, a fisher mended his nets beside the boats. The morning catch shone in the sun. Polly said hello and flew on.
