Oyulmuş Mağara

Polly denize doğru uçtu. Kayalığın dibinde karanlık bir mağara açılıyordu. İnsanlar ona Cova Tallada, yani oyulmuş mağara diyor.

Polly flew down to the sea. A dark cave opened in the bottom of the cliff. People call it the Cova Tallada, the carved cave.

İçeride duvarlar düz ve dümdüzdü. Uzun zaman önce, insanlar bu taşı elleriyle kesmiş. Polly, onların eski aletlerinin izlerini hâlâ görebiliyordu.

Inside, the walls were flat and straight. Long ago, people cut this stone by hand. Polly could still see the marks of their old tools.

Taş sıcak ve altın rengi parlıyordu. Mağaranın yarısı kayaydı, yarısı da berrak mavi denizdi.

The stone glowed warm and golden. Half of the cave was rock, and half was clear blue sea.

Mağaranın ağzından ışık giriyor ve suyun üstünde dans ediyordu. Polly, serin duvara dokundu. Bu altın taşın rengini hatırlamak istedi.

Light came through the mouth of the cave and danced on the water. Polly touched the cool wall. She wanted to remember the colour of this golden stone.
