머리 위의 절벽

폴리는 계단을 더 내려가요. 그때 이상한 것을 봐요. 이제 하늘이 많이 안 보여요. 폴리는 위를 봐요. 절벽이 머리 위로 튀어나와 있어요.

Polly goes further down the steps. Then she sees something strange. There is not much sky now. She looks up. The cliff hangs out over her head.

바다가 이렇게 만들었어요. 파도가 절벽 아래를 때려요. 파도가 바위를 가져가요. 그러면 위에 있는 바위 밑에는 아무것도 없어요. 저 아래에는 큰 동굴도 있어요.

The sea made this. Waves hit the bottom of the cliff. They take the rock away. Then the rock above has nothing under it. There are big caves down there too.

아래 바위 위에 짙은 초록색 새들이 있어요. 새들은 바람에 날개를 말리려고 날개를 펴고 있어요.

On the rocks below there are dark green birds. They hold their wings open to dry them in the wind.

새 한 마리가 바위에서 바다로 떨어져요. 물이 거의 튀지 않아요. 폴리는 기다려요. 새는 멀리서 다시 올라와요. 새는 물고기를 물고 있어요.

One bird falls off the rock into the sea. It makes almost no splash. Polly waits. The bird comes up far away. It has a fish.
