Věž mezi dvěma moři
Polly climbs the one hundred and forty-six wooden steps of Piran's bell tower, a small copy of the one in Venice, and sees the town lying between a sea of water and a sea of salt.

Polly se vrátila do města. Na kopci vedle kostela stojí vysoká zvonice. Je to kopie slavné věže v Benátkách. Postavili ji před více než čtyřmi sty lety.
Uvnitř je sto čtyřicet šest dřevěných schodů. Polly skákala po každém schodu. Nahoře visely velké zvony. Vítr voněl solí.
Město leželo pod ní. Oranžové střechy sbíhaly k moři. Bílé náměstí zářilo jako malý měsíc. Na jedné straně bylo jen modré moře.
Na druhé straně, daleko, se bělaly soliny. Voda na jedné straně, sůl na druhé. Racek měl pravdu. Sůl postavila tohle město.
That's the story.
