Stijena koja je otišla

Polly ide niže. U vodi vidi visoku stijenu. Stoji sama. Oko nje se razbijaju bijeli valovi.

Polly goes further down. She sees a tall rock in the water. It stands alone. Waves break white around it.

Davno je ta stijena bila dio litice. Onda su valovi odnijeli kamen ispod nje. Sada stoji sama u moru. Dolje je tanka.

Long ago that rock was part of the cliff. Then the waves took away the stone under it. Now it stands alone in the sea. It is thin at the bottom.

Pokraj nje proleti galeb. Ovaj galeb ne prati brodove. Ne uzima hranu od ljudi. Sam lovi ribu u moru.

A gull flies past. This gull does not follow boats. It does not take food from people. It catches its own fish in the sea.

Galeb odleti. Polly gleda prostor između stijene i litice. Prije je tamo bio kamen.

The gull flies away. Polly looks at the space between the rock and the cliff. That space was stone before.
