Stânca singură

Polly coboară mai departe. Vede o stâncă înaltă în apă. Stă singură. Valurile se sparg albe în jurul ei.

Polly goes further down. She sees a tall rock in the water. It stands alone. Waves break white around it.

Long ago that rock was part of the cliff. Then the waves took away the stone under it. Now it stands alone in the sea. It is thin at the bottom.

A gull flies past. This gull does not follow boats. It does not take food from people. It catches its own fish in the sea.
